About the work unit:
Specialist Palliative Care in Aged Care (SPACE) is an significant component of the outreach portfolio. The CNC will lead its delivery and ongoing development within the broader outreach service, including specialist palliative care support for people living in residential aged care facilities. The role also leads other approved outreach models, pathways and improvement initiatives across the service.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer an attractive remuneration package value up to $112,504 p.a. and generous leave entitlements.
Salary range: $***** to $***** p.h. (NG7)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
*****% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Palliative Care Outreach provides clinical and operational leadership for the specialist palliative care outreach team. The role leads coordinated, person-centred palliative care across community, residential aged care and other outreach settings, aligned with Townsville Hospital and Health Service priorities.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (AHPRA).
Possession of class C drivers' licence.
Travel may be a requirement of this position.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
Probation period may apply.
Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening.
