Are you passionate about creating positive opportunities for young people? Join our Community Planning & Development team as a Youth Activities Officer, supporting the delivery of engaging programs, activities and events at the Julia Reserve Youth Centre for young people aged *****.
We're looking for an organised and approachable team member who can build positive relationships, create a safe and inclusive environment, and connect young people with relevant information and support services. You'll bring experience working with young people, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to child safety and community wellbeing.

Certificate level qualification in Youth Services, Community Services or relevant field, and/or experience working with young people
Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery of youth programs, activities or services that engaged young people aged *****
Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion and appropriate care.
Sound understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements when working with young people.
Demonstrated understanding of child safe practices, safeguarding responsibilities and mandatory reporting requirements
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with young people, families, colleagues and stakeholders
Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance
Current C Class Drivers licenceDemonstrated understanding of Local Government operations and experience working within a council or similar community-focused environment.
