Trainee Assistant in Nursing - Targeted

that they comply with any reasonable instruction that is given them and with any reasonable policies/procedures relating to health or safety in the workplace, as well as notifying any hazards/risks or incidents to their managers.
Provision of support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Provide direct care activities to residents with dementia in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assist Registered and Enrolled Nurses with resident care interventions as directed
Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
Communicate effectively with residents and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol

DO NOT HOLD A Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or equivalent
Good written and verbal communications skills
Proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Ability to follow directions
Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain before commencement in February ****
