About us:Gladstone Hospital provides a broad range of acute, specialist and community-based healthcare services for Gladstone and the Banana region. As part of Destination ****, the hospital is being developed as a centre of excellence for emergency care, medical inpatient services and day surgery, while strengthening outreach services to bring more care closer to home for rural communities.About the role:Lead Operational Services across cleaning, catering, linen, waste, ward services, fire, safety and security, ensuring high-quality and effective service delivery.Supervise staff and daily operations, including monitoring productivity, service standards, rosters, training, performance development and mandatory requirements.Drive health, safety and compliance, promoting safe work practices and overseeing Food Safety, Environmental Services audits and relevant legislation and standards.Manage operational resources, including maintenance requests, purchasing, supplier orders, invoices and other administrative requirements.Coordinate and resolve operational issues, working with supervisors, employees and key stakeholders while responding to emergencies and undertaking Fire Warden responsibilities.About you:Strong supervisory and organisational skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, monitor and evaluate operational services.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with confidence communicating with staff, stakeholders and preparing relevant reports.Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, including managing rosters,
