Accounts Officer - Retail & Commercial Property

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Officer to join the team in a permanent part-time capacity.
The Opportunity
Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day accounts function while providing administrative support across the business as required. This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work with experienced property professionals in a stable and respected organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full Accounts Payable function, including processing, coding and matching invoices
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
Process Accounts Receivable, including receipting, payment allocations and reconciliations
Monitor outstanding debtors and follow up overdue accounts
Assist with billing enquiries and account reconciliations
Raise purchase orders and liaise with contractors
Provide administrative support to the wider property management team
Maintain accurate records within MRI
Respond to enquiries from tenants, contractors and other stakeholders
Assist with general office administration as required

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable position
A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role
Experience within the property industry, with retail property experience highly regarded
Working knowledge of MRI or similar property management software
Certificate III in Accounts Administration or Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
