About The Role
Our client is a well-established global asset management business, part of a large international group with decades of history and a strong reputation across institutional investment markets. Their Australian operation manages a diverse portfolio of investment entities on behalf of local and global investors, and continues to grow.
They're now looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of reporting across a portfolio of entities. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you'll partner closely with senior leaders, treasury and auditors, and play a key part in lifting reporting quality and controls. It's offered as a contract with a strong likelihood of going permanent.
Responsibilities
Lead month-end review and quarterly accounts across a portfolio of entities
Drive the annual statutory reporting cycle in line with IFRS/GAAP
Prepare Board and stakeholder reporting packs
Manage cash forecasting and partner with treasury on debt facilities and covenant compliance
Lead budgeting and reforecasting, adding commercial insight along the way
Oversee Australian tax compliance, including BAS and income tax returns
Coordinate with auditors and support investor reporting
Streamline reporting processes and strengthen financial controls
Skills
CA or CPA qualified
Robust post-qualification financial accounting experience, ideally within a group or multinational environment
Exposure to debt facilities and hedging
Sound knowledge of Australian tax
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
Full, unrestricted Australian work rights are required for this role
