Assembly Worker | Part Time 3 Days | Matraville | $***** per hour
We are hiring an Assembly/Process Worker for our client in Matraville.
Our client is a specialist electronics business. They research, design, manufacture and supply hardware and electrical systems, and they support customers with market-leading solutions. The business is built around three core sectors: Fire, Road and Airfield.
They are growing and need extra support on the production floor to keep up with demand across those divisions.
About the role
This is an entry level Assembly/Process Worker role, 3 days per week, assisting the Warehouse and Quality Control Manager.
The work is practical and repetitive, with explicit instructions and established processes. You will help manufacture and prepare basic components and parts used across the Fire, Road and Airfield divisions, and support the warehouse and sales teams.
Training is provided on products, assembly methods, quality requirements and warehouse processes. You will learn the job as you go, with straightforward procedures and supervision from the Warehouse and Quality Control Manager.
This suits a student looking for work around study, someone who wants 3 days a week between other commitments, or anyone looking for casual employment and basic assembly and electrical experience.
Hours and pay
$***** per hour
Casual / part time
Preferred hours:



8:30am–4:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday
Hours and days can be flexed for the right person, based on experience, availability and suitability
Key responsibilities
Basic assembly of components and parts
Soldering electrical components and connections
Cutting and preparing wires
Gluing and joining components
Building and assembling boxes and packaging for parts built
Packing finished components and products and storing them in the warehouse
Preparing stock orders for the warehouse and sales team
Labelling, sorting and organising components
Performing basic quality checks
Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean, tidy and organised
About you
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable doing repetitive, hands-on work
Able to follow basic instructions and processes
Comfortable working with small components and tools
Willing to learn
Able to keep a clean and organised work area
Basic electrical knowledge, or a genuine interest in learning
Comfortable with basic soldering, wire cutting and gluing
Physically capable of general warehouse and assembly duties, including heavy lifting from time to time
A team player who will help where needed
Strong verbal communication and a high level of spoken English
Available for the days and hours listed
