About the role
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, investigating the detail and improving how things are done. You'll work closely with the finance team and stakeholders across the business to deliver reliable financial information and support our retail, ecommerce and wholesale operations.
Key responsibilities
Manage month‐end close across all group entities, including journals, general ledger reconciliations and supporting work papers.
Prepare monthly management reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Analyse financial results, investigate variances and communicate key findings.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
Prepare BAS and other statutory reporting, working with external advisers as required.
Assist with audit requirements, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to queries.
Support inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and cost of goods sold reporting.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve finance processes and systems.
About you
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
CA or CPA qualification.
Demonstrated experience in a senior financial accounting role.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and statutory reporting requirements.
Experience managing month‐end, financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems.
Strong analytical, problem‐solving and communication skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
Experience in retail, ecommerce, wholesale or another inventory‐based business, ideally.
NetSuite experience would be highly regarded.
