Head of SAP Supply Chain Technology

A leading Australian organisation is seeking an experienced SAP Supply Chain leader to take ownership of its Supply Chain Technology function.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for partnering with Supply Chain executives, leading a team of SAP specialists, and governing outsourced support and delivery partners across a complex SAP landscape.
We're looking for someone who has grown their career from an SAP functional background and can confidently operate between business stakeholders and technical teams. This is not a role for a people leader with limited SAP exposure. The successful candidate will have the experience and credibility to challenge vendors, review solution designs, and ensure technical decisions align with business objectives and SAP best practice.
The Role
Reporting to a senior technology leader, you will be responsible for the technology roadmap and ongoing optimisation of the organisation's Supply Chain systems, including SAP S/4HANA, EWM, IBP and related solutions.
You will act as the key interface between business stakeholders and outsourced application support providers, ensuring solutions are delivered effectively, risks are managed, and technology investments deliver value.
Key responsibilities include:
Building strong relationships across Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement and Planning functions
Leading a team of SAP Supply Chain specialists
Managing external vendors and AMS providers




Driving continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives
Reviewing and governing solution designs and technical recommendations
Supporting SAP projects, business cases and governance activities
Ensuring technology strategy aligns with broader business objectives
Developing a high-performing and customer-focused team culture
About You
To be successful, you'll bring:
Strong SAP functional experience across Supply Chain domains
Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments
Deep understanding of SAP EWM and related Supply Chain processes
Previous end-to-end implementation and/or SAP support leadership experience
Experience managing outsourced vendors, system integrators or application support providers
The ability to challenge technical recommendations and make informed solution decisions
Solid stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Experience leading teams within enterprise SAP environments

The key requirement for this position is SAP functional credibility,you must be capable of engaging in detailed solution discussions, validating recommendations, identifying risks and ensuring vendors are delivering the right outcome from both a business and technical perspective.
This role will suit an SAP Supply Chain Lead, SAP Solution Architect, SAP Delivery Manager or SAP Functional Manager who enjoys combining stakeholder management, strategic leadership and hands-on SAP expertise.
