As a Personal Care Worker at BallyCara, you'll become an important part of the daily lives of our residents.
You might help someone start their morning feeling confident, encourage a resident to join an activity, share a laugh over a cup of tea, or simply be there when someone needs a friendly face.
It's the little things that make a big difference.
You'll support residents to maintain their dignity, independence and wellbeing while building genuine relationships with the people you care for.
What you'll be doing
Providing personal care with dignity, kindness and respect
Supporting residents with daily living, mobility and meals
Encouraging independence, choice and participation
Building positive relationships with residents and their families
Recognising and responding to changes in residents' wellbeing
Working collaboratively with nurses and the broader care team
Creating a safe, welcoming and positive environment
Following clinical procedures and Aged Care Quality Standards

What You'll Bring
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with older people and understands that quality care starts with seeing the person, not just the task.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Aged Care) or relevant qualification – essential
Previous experience working in aged care
A warm, compassionate and positive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliability and flexibility
A commitment to person-centred care and quality
The ability to meet the inherent requirements of the role
You'll also need:
A National Police Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
Current rights to work in Australia
COVID-19 and influenza vaccination are highly recommended
