Mechanical Fitters – Demolition & Decommissioning Project

Project: Major Commercial Site Demolition – Minimum 4 week project
We are currently seeking experienced
Mechanical Fitters
to join our client's team on a major demolition and decommissioning project in Granville.
The successful candidates will be involved in the
mechanical dismantling, removal and decommissioning of existing plant, equipment and infrastructure
as part of the site demolition works.
For You:
Monday to Friday roles paying $60 p/hr + Super
Working hours of 7am to 3:30pm daily
Minimum 4 - week project

The business delivers practical engineering, fabrication and manufacturing solutions across industrial and commercial applications. About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:




Mechanical dismantling and removal of existing equipment and infrastructure
Decommissioning and disassembly of mechanical systems
Removing conveyors, machinery, pipework and associated equipment
Using hand and power tools, cutting equipment and mechanical tools
Working with demolition crews and other trades to safely dismantle equipment
Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings where required
Identifying and safely removing mechanical components
Following site procedures and strict WHS requirements
Maintaining a safe and organised work area
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Proven experience as a
Mechanical Fitter
Previous experience with
demolition, dismantling or decommissioning
highly regarded
Experience working with conveyors, machinery, plant or industrial equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Relevant Australian trade qualification
White Card
Strong commitment to safety
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Construction/industrial site experience
Must have construction White Card
EWP, Forklift, or Scissor Lift tickets advantageous
Confined Space ticket advantageous
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
