The Opportunity
The Head of Trust Accounting and Finance is responsible for the leadership, management and continuous improvement of all trust accounting and finance functions across Retail Projex. This is part of the Senior Leadership team.
This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands‐on trust accounting expertise and serves as the principal finance advisor to the business, Property, Centre Managers and Executive Team.
The position ensures compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements whilst delivering exceptional financial reporting, trust accounting services and client outcomes.
The role is operational and will include deliverables including Trust Accounting, Team Leadership, Finance Management and compliance, problem solving and business support




The Head of Trust Accounting and Finance will drive efficiencies, manage risk, support operational teams and develop a high‐performing finance function capable of supporting Retail Projex's continued growth.

Your Skills and Experience:
Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 7-10 years' experience within property, real estate or shopping centre accounting.
Demonstrated trust accounting experience within the property industry.
Strong understanding of retail shopping centre operations.
Cirrus8 (C8) experience.
Proven people leadership experience.
Experience managing satellite resources or shared services teams.
Experience dealing directly with property owners, landlords and asset managers.
Experience managing trust account audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
Knowledge of NSW Property & Stock Agents legislation, Retail Leases Act **** (NSW), Property management industry practices, Shopping Centre management accounting.
Budgeting and forecasting.
Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
Financial governance and risk management frameworks.
