Job Description
Build advanced skills. Learn alongside experienced clinicians. Become an essential part of a surgical team.
/n
Are you an overseas-trained dentist preparing for your ADC examinations, or an experienced dental assistant ready to develop your skills in surgical dentistry?
/n
Budhwar Dental Group is offering an opportunity to receive close coaching and mentoring in All-on-4 and full-arch implant surgery , with attractive remuneration reflecting the responsibility of the role.
/n
We’re looking for someone who wants to become a trusted surgical assistant: thoroughly prepared, attentive to detail and able to anticipate what the clinician and patient need throughout a complex procedure.
/n
This opportunity suits two professional backgrounds:
/n
An overseas-trained dentist beginning or progressing through the ADC process , who wants to contribute their dental knowledge in an assisting role, learn from experienced clinicians and build familiarity with Australian practice.
/n
A senior dental assistant with an interest in surgery , who is ready to be coached into a capable All-on-4 surgical assistant and take on greater responsibility.
/n
An opportunity to learn, contribute and progress.
/n
You’ll benefit from:
/n
Premium remuneration: pay that recognises the additional skills, preparation and responsibility involved in surgical assisting.
/n
Direct coaching and mentoring: learn the preparation, sequencing and teamwork behind advanced full-arch treatment.
/n
Exposure to complex dentistry: develop an understanding of the surgical and restorative stages, digital workflows and coordination involved in All-on-4 care.
/n
Travel and variety: work alongside the clinical team across practice locations and see how treatment is delivered in different settings.
/n
Connections with leading clinicians and educators: opportunities to meet and learn from experienced people in implant dentistry.
/n
Teaching opportunities: as your competence grows, contribute to training activities and help mentor other team members.
/n
Career progression: develop towards greater responsibility in surgical coordination, team training and clinical support within the group.
/n
Sponsorship opportunities: visa sponsorship may be offered to suitable candidates, subject to eligibility and applicable visa requirements.
/n
Fewer patients, greater involvement in each case.
/n
Surgical days involve fewer patients and longer, more complex appointments. Your contribution will require sustained concentration, careful preparation and a strong sense of responsibility.
/n
With training and mentoring, you’ll develop the ability to:
/n
Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, implant components, equipment and materials.
/n
Anticipate the stages of treatment and provide efficient assistance under the treating clinician’s direction.
/n
Maintain meticulous infection control,
instrument processing and stock organisation.
/n
Coordinate with clinicians and support staff so each stage of the appointment runs smoothly.
/n
Help patients feel reassured and supported throughout their care.
/n
Take ownership of the assisting workflow, from preparation through to documentation, handover and room reset.
/n
The goal is for you to become a dependable member of the surgical and restorative team who can confidently manage the assisting side of an All-on-4 surgical day.
/n
We’ll invest in your development. You’ll bring commitment to learning.
/n
You’ll need excellent attention to detail, clear communication and a calm, organised approach. You should be comfortable receiving feedback, practising current skills and steadily taking on responsibility as your competence develops.
/n
We value someone who thinks ahead, follows protocols, speaks up when something needs attention and works collaboratively. Willingness to travel between practices is also important.
/n
A potential future within our group.
/n
For overseas-trained dentists, there may be an opportunity to progress into a dentist position within one of our group practices after successfully completing the ADC process and obtaining Australian dental registration. Any future appointment would depend on your performance, mutual fit and a suitable vacancy.
/n
For experienced dental assistants, this is an opportunity to build advanced surgical assisting skills and grow into mentoring, training and team leadership responsibilities.
