THE ROLE

After the recent acquisition by Fluiconnecto RYCO, Gerrard Hydraulics are growing faster than ever before. Due to some new projects on the horizon, we are seeking a Workshop Technician to join our friendly and supportive workshop in Canning Vale, WA. This is an ONSITE workshop position which will have you working on all sorts of mechanical gear, for all sorts of clients.

This permanent, full time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems, contributing to our commitment to quality and excellence in production. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting with the day-to-day servicing and repairs to hydraulic equipment and parts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Repairs and testing, including working on hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors, hydraulic open loop pumps.
- Hydrostatic transmission repair and testing, Brands to include Eaton, Sauer Danfoss, Bosch Rexroth, plus others.




- Fault finding hydraulic problems either on the job or over the phone.
- Mentor and oversee apprentice and trades assistance when needed.
- Work in conjunction with all other staff

ABOUT YOU

- Proven experience as a workshop technician or in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Completion of a relevant trade qualification in hydraulics or mechanical engineering.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
