SUMMARY Assists the Superintendent with coordination, management, and oversight of the District’s fiscal affairs. Provides leadership in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, reporting, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Serves as a developmental executive role, providing training, mentorship, and progressive responsibility toward potential appointment as Chief Financial Officer, as determined by the Superintendent and District School Board. EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Required: Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education required. Graduate or undergraduate degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in management, accounting,
budgeting, or financial operations, preferably within a public school district or comparable public-sector organization. Experience working with large, complex operating budgets Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or administrative experience. REFERRED/DESIRED: Experience in a large K–12 public school district. Demonstrated experience preparing district-level budgets and financial reports. Experience supporting collective bargaining or labor cost analysis.
