Risk & Quality Manager | Drive Governance, Quality & Continuous Improvement

We're partnering with a respected organisation delivering complex projects and services that support government and community outcomes. As the Risk & Quality Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring robust governance, compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement across the organisation.

With a commitment to best practice, continuous improvement and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Risk & Quality Manager to strengthen and evolve their risk and quality frameworks.
About the Role
Based in Hawthorn, Victoria, this permanent full-time position will lead the development and implementation of risk management and quality assurance initiatives across multiple programs and projects.
You will work collaboratively with project teams, operational leaders and executive stakeholders to identify risks, improve quality performance, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership and influencing positive organisational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks, strategies and policies across projects and operational functions
- Identify, assess and mitigate organisational and project-related risks
- Conduct quality audits, assessments and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Partner with project teams to identify risk factors and implement practical action plans
- Prepare and present risk, compliance and quality reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Facilitate risk management and quality improvement workshops across the organisation
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement
- Lead investigations into quality-related issues and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Monitor emerging industry trends, legislation and best practice frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness
- Support governance activities and contribute to organisational planning and decision-making
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Quality Assurance, Public Administration, Business, Health, Governance or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Risk Management, Quality, Compliance or Governance
- Experience working within the public sector, healthcare, community services, local government, infrastructure, education or similar regulated environments
- Robust analytical skills with the ability to assess complex challenges and develop practical solutions
- Experience leading audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Experience using risk management systems, quality frameworks and reporting tools
- Relevant certifications such as CRM, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Governance or similar qualifications will be highly regarded
