Applied Air Solutions is looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprentice to join our growing team based in Hallam, VIC.

If you're getting towards the end of your apprenticeship and want more exposure, more variety and the opportunity to develop into a confident, well-rounded refrigeration mechanic, we'd love to hear from you.

We're a close-knit team working across a wide variety of commercial and residential HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout Melbourne. No two days are exactly the same – you'll get hands-on experience across servicing, maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, fault finding, installations and commissioning.

Most importantly, we're looking for a good person with a excellent attitude who takes pride in their work and genuinely wants to keep learning.

We want someone who can finish their apprenticeship with us and continue growing into a long-term member of the team.

What you'll be doing

As your experience develops, you'll be involved in:





- Servicing and maintaining commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems

- Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical, electrical and refrigeration issues

- Breakdown and reactive service calls

- Preventative and scheduled maintenance

- Repairing and replacing components such as fan motors, valves, controls, PCBs and compressors

- Refrigerant leak detection, repairs, evacuation, pressure testing and recharging

- Air conditioning and refrigeration installations

- Testing and commissioning equipment

- Completing service reports and job documentation

- Communicating with customers and working alongside our technicians

You won't be expected to know everything. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation who is keen to learn, improve their diagnostic skills and become a great refrigeration mechanic.

About you

You'll ideally be:

- Currently completing your 3rd or 4th year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprenticeship

- Reliable, motivated and willing to learn

- Comfortable working both independently within your level of competency and alongside other technicians

- Interested in fault finding and developing your diagnostic skills

- Someone who takes pride in their workmanship and presentation

- Friendly and confident communicating with customers

- Organised and able to manage your day

- Holder of a current Australian driver's license

- Holder of a White Card
