Position Description – Agricultural Research Co-Ordinator
Agricultural research (cereals, oilseeds and pulses) – Field applied crop research, science and extension based in
southern New South Wales and northeast Victoria (Mulwala/Yarrawonga region).

The key responsibilities will involve:
• Managing and delivering a portfolio of research projects involving field-based trials, primarily across southern
Current South Wales and north-east Victoria.
• Execution of project plans, co-ordination, and liaison with collaborating partners to ensure the best outcomes.
• Reviewing and reporting on trial operations and project milestones.
• Extension of research results for the regional cropping industry.
• Collaborative planning of research trials, protocols, treatments and trial designs.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Driving excellence in applied cropping research, extension and capacity-building initiatives while contributing to
FAR Australia’s national research impact and organisational success.
• Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with industry stakeholders to achieve impactful research
outcomes, ensuring all activities align with FAR Australia’s research quality and extension standards.
Experience / Qualifications
Experience within the agricultural sector, particularly in research, field science or extension, would be advantageous.
Relevant tertiary qualifications and knowledge of the Australian cropping industry are preferred; however,
candidates with equivalent practical experience are encouraged to apply.
Relevant required skills include:
• Enthusiasm and a positive, 'can-do' attitude towards challenges requiring attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to conduct field research both indoors and outdoors.
• Computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office products.
• Ability to interpret experimental protocols and trial plans.
• Willingness and ability to collaborate with others to achieve the best field research outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive approach in assisting with field operations and data handling to ensure successful results.
