About the role

You will work within our door manufacturing facility completing cladding and finishing work on doors manufactured to customer specifications. The role involves taking raw materials through the complete preparation and application process — measuring, cutting, surface preparation, adhesive application, laminating, fitting and finishing. Accuracy and presentation are critical. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing clean cuts, straight lines, correctly positioned kickplates and cladding, neat edges and a damage-free finished product. Depending on experience and production requirements, you may also assist with other door manufacturing and finishing processes when required.

Key responsibilities

- Fitting stainless steel and mild steel kickplates

- Full and partial steel door cladding

- Vinyl application and finishing

- Measuring and marking materials accurately

- Cutting and preparing steel, vinyl and other cladding materials

- Operating machinery including a guillotine, cold cut saw and wall saw

- Preparing doors and surfaces prior to cladding

- Applying contact adhesives and spray adhesives





- Laminating and bonding materials to doors

- Trimming and finishing edges, corners and openings

About you

- Previous experience in door cladding, door manufacturing, sheet-metal work, vinyl application, cabinet making, joinery, shopfitting or a similar manufacturing environment

- Strong measuring, marking and practical skills

- Confident working with steel, stainless steel, vinyl and adhesives

- Experience with contact and/or spray adhesives and laminating

- Experience accurately cutting and preparing sheet materials

- Experience operating machinery such as a guillotine, cold cut saw and wall saw

- Confident using hand and power tools

- Able to read job sheets, drawings and measurements

- Ability to produce clean, accurate and professional finishes

- Excellent attention to detail
