About the role

The Support Team Manager provides operational leadership for HeartKids’ Support Team and is accountable for effective, consistent and compliant delivery of the approved Model of Support. The role provides direct leadership of the Support Team, including performance, workload, capability, wellbeing, team culture and operational coordination.

About you

You will be an experienced health care or community services professional with experience in leading and engaging teams.

To be successful in the role, you will bring

- Qualifications in a relevant field such as allied health, nursing, public health, policy or health administration, or a related discipline

- Senior leadership experience in healthcare, community, operations, project management or public health within a community, health or not-for-profit setting.

- Strong implementation skills with a practical, delivery-focused approach

- Highly developed emotional intelligence and people leadership capability, with the ability to lead effectively in complex and emotionally sensitive contexts.





- Clear communicator able to translate complex issues into accessible language

- Sound judgement and ability to balance service delivery, team wellbeing and organisational priorities

- Strong alignment with HeartKids’ values and commitment to supporting families impacted by childhood-onset heart disease
