About the role

The VCMT (Village Care and Maintenance Team) role is responsible for the maintenance, care, and upkeep of the community, ensuring safe, accessible, and visually appealing grounds and facilities for our homeowners.

Key responsibilities

- Mow lawns, trim edges, and maintain tidy grass areas
- Prune shrubs, hedges, and trees as needed
- Weed garden beds and paved areas
- Water plants and lawns as required
- Apply mulch, compost, and fertilizers as required
- Monitor plant health and address issues such as pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies
- Maintain the Village facilities as directed by the supervisor or on-site manager
- Maintain outdoor/indoor pool and spa as required
- Clean and clear outdoor common areas e.g. courtyards, seated areas
- Ensure all outdoor areas are secure, clean, and accessible for homeowners, employees and visitors

About you

- Current and valid driver's licence
- Police check required as a pre-condition of employment
- Previous experience, skills and knowledge in grounds, garden and facilities maintenance
- Friendly, respectful and clear communication with homeowners, team members and managers
- Works effectively and collaboratively with other team members and management




- Showing up consistently and completing scheduled maintenance
- Completes tasks to a high standard, proactively identifies maintenance needs
- Manages, prioritises and completes tasks effectively and efficiently
- Proactively identifies, manages and reports risks and hazards in the workplace
