Rainbow Playhouse Preschool is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma qualified Director to lead our small, community based preschool, in an ongoing capacity. This role will commence from Term 1 of 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and inspire our wonderful team of Educators
- Maintain positive relationships with families and the wider community
- Manage rostering, operational and compliance obligations
- Preparation of budget, reports, funding and grant applications
- Work collaboratively with our Management Committee and part-time Admin Officer
- Manage written communication to families via email and Kinderloop
About you
- Proven experience as a Director in a Preschool setting (not-for-profit, community based experienced preferred)
- Extensive experience with Start Robust funding model (essential)
- An experienced leader, committed to inspiring our team
- Sound knowledge of operational and compliance obligations in a preschool setting
- Strong budgeting, rostering and written communication skills
- Relevant teaching and ACEQUA approved child protection credentials
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates
- Current WWC and National Criminal History Check

- Located in the heart of Tahmoor, we operate during school terms from 8:15am (children arrive 8:30am) to 4:00pm
- Community based, Not-for-Profit preschool run by a Management Committee made up of parents and community members, servicing our community for over 35 years.
- Catering to 20 (3 to 5 year old) children a day with one big play room and a recently renovated, beautiful outdoor area that is very nature based.
- We have a small team of dedicated educators and our service has a great reputation within our community for providing high quality, inclusive, care and education.
