Powerplant are looking for Corrosion Technicians/Technologists to job our Network Services Team.

- We have contracts in place with all Victorian distribution networks.
- We have professionally trained project managers, accredited with all networks to deliver electrical upgrade projects.
- Our Network Services support multiple large critical asset owners with Asset Resilience and Management services.
CP Technician Responsibilities include:
You will provide sound & timely service to Network Services clients and service providers / contractors and liaise with various technical bodies regarding corrosion protection techniques.
- Conduct corrosion field audits, coating and potential surveys, trouble shooting and installation of cathodic protection systems
- Collect and validate CP data along with instrumentation maintenance & calibration
- Assist with the design, development, and installation of CP systems
- Provide training and mentoring to junior colleagues
- Set task priorities and allocate work within the position's area of responsibility
- Promote a commitment to safe working practices and accident prevention
Requirements:
- Cathodic Protection technical field experience with qualifications from NACE or ACA (CP Technician or Technologist) an advantage
- Previous exposure to oil & gas, pipelines, marine and similar assets and infrastructure
- Knowledge of the procedures, skills and technology used for sacrificial anode and impressed current cathodic protection systems on a wide range of buried or immersed metallic structures
- Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office
- Requires regional and interstate travel
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have equivalent working rights in Australia
- Ability to obtain and maintain security and police checks
- Hold and maintain a valid Driver's Licence
