Blue Eye Seafood Restaurant is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team in Hobart. What you'll be doing
- Greeting guests warmly and seating them at tables in a prompt and courteous manner
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serving meals and drinks with professionalism and attention to detail
- Checking on guests throughout their dining experience to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Clearing tables efficiently and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant
- Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
- Restocking supplies and ensuring table settings are always presentable
- Collaborating with kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service
- Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assisting with special requests and providing menu recommendations to guests
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in waiting staff, food service, or hospitality roles is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment whilst maintaining composure
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remember orders accurately
