WHY TEAM SIMONDS?

The Simonds story all started in 1949 with a passionate family man, Gary Simonds. He envisioned a builder that Australians could rely on to guide them through the process of crafting their perfect home. This vision remains at the heart of Simonds today with our commitment to making the Great Australian Dream a reality by placing home ownership within Australia’s reach.

Becoming part of Team Simonds means becoming part of the family. Our people are the heart of what we do. Our homes are built for the community, by the community, with a local network of employees, trades and suppliers all working towards this vision. It is this passion, dedication, and excellence that you will find on every Simonds job site, office, and display centre across the country. Today, we stand proudly as an ASX listed & leading national builder servicing customers across Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

Simonds has helped shape Australia. Few can say that. Whether we’re looking back at the homes of yesteryear, what we’re building now, or everything that’s still to come. We’ve not only shaped what Australia looks like, but more importantly, how Australia homes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Ready to shape the future of drafting at Simonds Homes?

We’re looking for a highly proficient BIM Specialist to drive our national transition to Revit, transforming how our drafting teams work through smarter systems, consistent standards and innovative technology. Beyond the transition, you'll be the long-term owner of our BIM environment, keeping our national Masters range consistent, efficient and production-ready.

Based in our modern Collins Square office in Docklands, you’ll take ownership of our Revit environment, templates,

standards and content library, while driving the technical transition of our national Masters portfolio from ArchiCAD and AutoCAD to Revit.

As our Revit subject matter expert, you’ll work collaboratively across all departments and regions to build capability, streamline workflows, introduce automation and embed best-practice BIM standards. This is an opportunity to make a significant technical impact on how we design, document and deliver homes nationally.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re a Revit expert with a passion for technology, continuous improvement and helping teams embrace new ways of working. You have the technical capability to build robust BIM environments and the communication skills to drive change across diverse teams.

You’ll bring:

- Advanced Revit expertise, with at least 5 years' Revit experience in residential documentation
- BIM implementation experience, including template development, standards, content libraries, model QA/QC and implementation across multiple teams.
- A track record of driving change, ideally having supported or delivered a CAD-to-Revit transition or similar transformation.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in automation, emerging technologies and smarter ways of working.
- Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to train, support and influence teams nationally.

- Residential construction knowledge, ideally within a volume or project home builder environment.

You’re equally comfortable getting hands-on with complex Revit models as you are sharing your expertise, supporting others and driving technical improvements across the business.

WHY JOIN US?

Aside from a fantastic prospect to join one of Australia's ASX listed leading residential builders, Simonds can offer you:

- Great benefits across a wide range of products and services including a generous discount on our award-winning homes as well as all the great things that go in them.
- Access to our free employee well-being program, including counselling, nutritional, financial, and legal support for both you and your immediate family.

- Enjoy sporting, trade, and supplier discounts, including partner offers with the Geelong Cats and Melbourne United, plus discounted access to materials and services for personal projects.
- Generous rewards and recognition.

A commensurate remuneration package will be negotiated with the right candidate.

If this sounds like your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you as soon as possible!
