About the role

SL Hughes Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a Water Truck Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based around the Gold Coast and offers the flexibility of casual work whilst contributing to essential logistics and transport operations. As a Water Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining water truck vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of water to our clients.

Key responsibilities

- Safely operate water truck vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations and company protocols

- Deliver water loads to designated locations on schedule and in accordance with client requirements

- Conduct pre-operation and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and roadworthiness

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents or maintenance issues

- Communicate effectively with owner operator and clients regarding delivery status and any operational concerns

- Adhere to all traffic laws, load management regulations and health and safety requirements whilst operating the vehicle

What we're looking for

- Valid driver's licence - Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination

- Must have experience driving a Road Ranger

- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar commercial driving role

- Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting capabilities

- Strong understanding of road safety regulations, load management and workplace health and safety standards

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members professionally





- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability

- Physical fitness and capability to perform tasks associated with water truck operations

- A clean driving record and positive attitude towards safety compliance

- Flexibility to work casual hours as operational demands require
