An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Village Administrator to join our team at Townsend Park on a permanent part-time basis .
Located in the beautiful coastal suburb of Hove, Townsend Park offers a welcoming and supportive environment for both residents and team members.
Surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and stunning ocean views, this charming village provides a unique workplace setting just moments from Brighton Beach and the lively cafés and shops of Jetty Road. No two days are the same as you support village operations, assist residents, coordinate activities, and contribute to a positive and thriving community atmosphere.
As the Village Administrator, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents, guests, and contractors – providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the day-to-day operations of the village are seamless. You’ll work closely with the village team, supporting them across a range of administrative and operational tasks including:
- Providing warm, professional customer service to residents, visitors, and contractors
- Manage front-of-house reception, including phone enquiries, email correspondence, and visitor management
- Process invoices, purchase and other financial administration tasks in accordance with company procedure
- Coordinating contractor inductions and ensure EHS compliance
- Conducting resident welfare checks and follow up as needed
- Coordinate resident communications, newsletters, notices, events, and community activities
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of resident engagement programs and village events
- Helping organise and support community events and activities
Shifts
This role offers 3 days of work per week, working a total of 22.5 hours per week.
- Wednesday: 9am to 5pm
- Thursday: 9am to 5pm
- Friday: 9am to 5pm
Our preferred working days for this position are outlined above; however, we recognise the importance of flexibility and may be able to consider alternative arrangements for the right candidate. Please note that availability to work on Fridays is an essential requirement of this role.
About You
For this role, you will have excellent diligence and organisational skills, coupled with the ability to work autonomously to complete tasks. Your strong customer service skills will allow you to effectively consult with our residents and visitors.
To be successful in your application, you will have the following;
- Administration and demonstrated customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience using databases or CRM systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse community
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and approachable personality that helps build trust and rapport with residents, families, and team members
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise competing tasks
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team workplace
- Willingness to learn and professionally develop
- A professional, initiative-taking and can-do attitude.
Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of May-November.
