J&R; Grego Group is seeking a Civil Construction Labourer to join our growing team in Cairns, QLD with assisting in deep soil mixing. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work on diverse civil construction projects across the region. As a Civil Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic construction environment where your contribution directly impacts project success.

Key responsibilities

- Assist tradespeople and supervisors with general labouring duties on civil construction sites
- Prepare and maintain construction work areas, including site setup, cleanup and waste management
- Assist with the handling, loading and unloading of materials, tools and equipment such as setting up auger for deep soil mixing, cleaning tools, gurneying, and filling holes
- Follow all health and safety protocols and site‑specific safety requirements

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Current driver's licence
- Willingness to obtain relevant construction site certifications such as White Card (Construction Induction),




- Strong work ethic and commitment to health and safety practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Reliability and punctuality
- Previous construction or labouring experience (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work outdoors in the Cairns climate
