MIDDLE LEADERSHIP POSTION: ASSISTANT HEAD OF FACULTY - HASS

Full Time Continuing, Commencing 2027

POSITION PURPOSE

The Assistant Head of Faculty supports the Head of Faculty in the effective coordination, implementation and administration of curriculum, assessment, reporting and faculty operations at St Patrick's College, Shorncliffe. Working within the strategic direction established by the Head of Faculty and aligned to the College's Mission, Vision, Strategic Priorities and Learning and Teaching Framework, the role is responsible for ensuring faculty programs, documentation, assessment processes and operational systems are organised, compliant and effectively maintained. This includes supporting curriculum development and review, coordinating assessment and moderation processes, maintaining curriculum resources and documentation, managing faculty Realm pages, and overseeing operational requirements associated with ACARA, QCAA and College policies and procedures. Through a strong focus on organisation, quality assurance and implementation, the Assistant Head of Faculty helps ensure faculty programs and practices are consistent, efficient, compliant and responsive to student learning needs.

This is a 4 year,



fixed term appointment with the ability for another 4 years at a Tier 1.2 Middle Leader Level, in accordance with the Catholic Employers Single Enterprise Agreement (Religious Institute Schools of Queensland) .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A visible and positive contribution to the Catholic identity, Edmund Rice charism,valuesand community life of the College.

A positive contribution to improved student learning, engagement, achievement and wellbeing through the effective implementation and coordination of curriculum, assessment, reporting and faculty processes.

A positive contribution to a collaborative and high-trust faculty culture, working under the direction of the Head of Faculty and in partnership with colleagues.

Effective implementation of the College Teaching and Learning Framework through the coordination of curriculum, pedagogy,assessmentand reporting practices across the faculty.

High levels of accuracy, consistency and quality assurance in curriculum, assessment, moderation and reporting processes, ensuring compliance processes, ensuring adherence to ACARA, QCAA, College and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Clearcontribution tofaculty improvement priorities, strategic goals and agreed annual action plansunder the direction of the Head of Faculty.

Accurate and reliable coordination of curriculum documentation, assessment schedules, moderation processes, reporting requirements, faculty data and associated administrative records.

Reliable coordination of agreed faculty operations, resources administrativerequirements,communication processes and relevant REALM (LMS) page maintenance, ensuring the efficient functioning of faculty systems and processes.
