The Wyong Leagues Group (WLG) is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join its IT department. This newly created role is full time and based at our head office in Kanwal. This role will be essential in providing expert IT advice and operations across a multi VLAN environment, and will be a critical member in ensuring the security, efficiency, of our IT systems and networks.

Job Description

Manage and maintain the Groups IT Microsoft workplace. Including on premise AD, O365, Entra, Defender and SQL.

Maintain and strengthen the Groups Cisco Meraki infrastructure.

Deliver systems improvements that enhance IT operations and systems across the company.

Diagnose and deliver solutions for IT issues as they arise in collaboration with the department.

Ensure best practise systems are in place to defend against a variety of threats and IT related risks that could pose a threat to the business or its operations.

System administration and optimisation of servers including backup and recovery processes.

Implementation of hardware and software designed to improve IT capabilities.

Troubleshooting, diagnosing and rectifying issues affecting performance, availability, integrity of infrastructure and data, through management of internal and user tickets.

Ensure clubs information systems are safe and secure.

Install, maintain and upgrade the following services (but not limited to) within the WLG

Security System

Desktop, Laptops and Servers





Office and Workspace Equipment and Cabling

TV’s

Gaming Related Equipment

Systems and Software (e.g. Office 365, Backup, In house, Document management)

Meraki Network equipment and infrastructure

Check equipment and facilities for maintaining, replacing and upgrading.

Provide advice and collaborate on solutions regarding Information Technology issues within the organisation.

Set quality standards for the use of information within the organisation.

Plan and implement improved work procedures.

Make recommendation on staff, including training requirements.

Make recommendations regarding possible improvements, which may be made within the organisation, by either better utilising or replacing existing Information Technology.

Contribute ideas for long term planning, relevant to Information Technology.

Compliance with all statutory regulations governing the Club industry

Minimum Requirements of the position include:

Qualification(s) in Information Technology or Computer Science

Current Drivers Licence and reliable car

Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check (arranged by the WLG)

Willingness to gain a RSA & RCG Competency Card

3 Years experience in IT

Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response

Familiarity with best practices in system security and data protection

Position closes on 1st November 2026 or earlier if we find a suitable candidate
