Project Manager – Commercial Construction & Fit-Out | Defence projects

This Brisbane Project Manager role suits someone who enjoys leading delivery, working directly with clients and keeping the whole project moving—not just one part of it.

About the business

Our client provides construction and project management services across commercial fit-outs, refurbishments and broader construction works. The business delivers for government, private-sector and education clients, bringing experience across different building environments and operational requirements.

Its approach places importance on communication with subcontractors and building lasting client and trade relationships. You’ll join the project delivery team, reporting to the General Manager, with responsibility for bringing those relationships together around agreed time, cost and quality outcomes.

The opportunity

This is a role with broad delivery ownership. Alongside managing the head contract and project finances, you’ll lead the team,



resolve delivery issues and maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and other stakeholders. You’ll also mentor staff and model secure working practices across your projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing trade procurement, delivery and commissioning, along with contractual obligations to the client.
- Developing project programmes, managing budgets and reporting progress against milestones.
- Coordinating consultants, approvals and construction documentation, resolving design and delivery issues.
- Leading project meetings, maintaining stakeholder relationships and coordinating the team’s resources.
- Managing project risks, inspecting sites and overseeing safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Bringing together the documentation needed for completion and handover.

About you

You’ll have a record of successfully managing commercial construction projects, exposure to large or complex work and the capability to deliver projects around $5M.

Ideally, at least 12 months experience in a project manager role.
