Logistics Allocator – Brisbane to Darwin

The Neil Mansell Group is a leader in the transport industry. We specialize in heavy transportation in a variety of sectors Australia wide.

We are looking for an experienced and organised Logistics Allocator / Transport Coordinator to join our Toowoomba Head Office Team and manage the movement of trucks travelling between Brisbane and Darwin .

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating trucks, drivers, loads and delivery schedules to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Allocate trucks and loads for Brisbane–Darwin freight movements
- Coordinate daily schedules and driver movements
- Communicate with drivers, customers, depots and loading sites
- Monitor truck movements and delivery progress
- Organise pick-ups, deliveries and loading/unloading requirements
- Manage changes, delays and unexpected issues during transitMaintain accurate transport and delivery records
- Ensure drivers have the correct freight, paperwork and instructions
- Coordinate return loads where required to maximise truck utilisation




- Liaise with customers regarding delivery times and updates
- Ensure transport operations comply with relevant company procedures and road transport requirements

About You

- Highly organised and able to manage multiple trucks and jobs at once
- Experienced in transport allocation, logistics or fleet coordination
- Confident communicating with drivers and customers
- Good at problem-solving and working under pressure
- Familiar with Australian road transport and long-distance freight operations
- Computer literate and comfortable using transport management systems, spreadsheets and GPS/tracking systems
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
- Experienced with the Brisbane–Darwin route or northern Australia freight is highly desirable
