What's the Opportunity?
Cooper Hardiman is recruiting on behalf of Southern Stay Disability Services for a newly created position within their growing ICT team: ICT Application Support Officer.
Southern Stay’s reputation has been built on the incredible support it provides to the southwest Victorian community. To provide that incredible support, Southern Stay runs on its systems. Every shift note, roster, form and claim passes through MYP, their CRM, and right now there's a real prospect to make it work harder for our people and those who they support. This role exists to do that.
As the MYP Champion and Subject Matter Expert, you'll own the day-to-day administration of MYP and drive its continuous improvement. You'll work with service delivery, quality, finance, people and culture, and ICT to understand how work really gets done, map the processes, analyse the data and gather the requirements that show what's clunky. Then you'll fix it, measure the result, and make sure people actually use the fix. This isn't a role to keep the lights on. It's a role to make the system better every month, and to make sure the people using it feel the difference.
Reporting to the ICT Manager, you'll sit at the centre of how Southern Stay works day to day.
This position is offered as a 2-year fixed-term contract. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time arrangements and are happy to discuss flexible working options to suit the successful candidate's circumstances.
About You (The Successful Applicant)
You've worked hands-on with a CRM or client management system, and you've made it better, not just kept it running.
You spot the workaround everyone has quietly accepted, work out why it exists, and fix the cause. You're as comfortable configuring a workflow as explaining it to a team leader who has ten minutes and a rostering deadline. You build trust by listening first, and you bring people along rather than hand down instructions.
A typical week might involve: triaging MYP tickets and resolving a tricky permissions issue on Monday, sitting down with a team leader on Tuesday to work out why a form keeps coming back incomplete, testing a new workflow on Wednesday, running a training session on Thursday, and updating the improvement register and checking on Friday whether last month's changes have actually reduced the admin load. You may also be called on to backfill the ICT helpdesk during leave or peak periods. No two weeks look the same.
Who are Southern Stay?
Since 1982, Southern Stay has supported over 700 people with disability across southwest Victoria to live the life they choose. With around 300 staff and a genuine person-centred ethos, they’re stable enough to take a long view and ambitious enough to want to improve rather than just react.
What Southern Stay Has to Offer
A respected, values-driven not-for-profit making a genuine difference across southwest Victoria
SCHADS Award Level 4, with salary packaging benefits available as a registered NFP (reducing your taxable income)
Ownership of a system that matters: your improvements reduce paperwork and help staff spend more time supporting participants
Variety across configuration, reporting, training, stakeholder engagement and helpdesk support
Professional development and industry networking
