An opportunity is available for a junior Property Lawyer or Associate to join an established real estate practice in Sydney.

Working closely with experienced property lawyers, you will gain exposure to a broad range of transactional property matters, with a particular focus on leasing and development-related work.

This is a hands‑on role offering the opportunity to build strong technical foundations across different property transactions while becoming increasingly involved in client relationships and the day‑to‑day management of matters.

You will work across a varied client base and have exposure to commercial, retail, industrial and residential property matters, making this a strong opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to develop a broad property practice.

The Role

Your work may include:

- Advising on commercial, retail and industrial leasing matters.
- Drafting and negotiating leases, agreements for lease, variations, assignments and other leasing documentation.
- Assisting with acquisitions and disposals of commercial and development property.
- Supporting property development transactions from initial acquisition through to completion.
- Undertaking property due diligence and preparing transaction documentation.
- Advising on general property issues arising throughout the ownership, development and occupation of assets.
- Assisting with contracts for the sale and purchase of property.
- Reviewing and advising on title, easements, covenants and other property interests.
- Liaising directly with clients and other parties involved in transactions.
- Managing transaction requirements, critical dates and competing deadlines.
- Working alongside senior lawyers on larger or more complex property matters.

As your experience develops,

you will have the opportunity to take greater responsibility for matters and become more involved in managing transactions and client relationships independently.

About You

You will be an admitted lawyer with approximately 1–2 years' post‑admission experience and a foundation in transactional property law.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Experience in property transactions gained within a commercial legal practice.
- Exposure to leasing matters, whether commercial, retail or industrial.
- Strong drafting and attention to detail.
- An understanding of the practical and commercial considerations involved in property transactions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to work with clients and other stakeholders.
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to continue developing your technical skills.

You do not need to have worked across every type of property matter. Lawyers with a solid transactional foundation and an interest in developing broader real estate experience are encouraged to enquire.

The Opportunity for You

You will join a supportive property practice offering exposure to quality transactional work and experienced senior practitioners.

The role provides the opportunity to develop across leasing, property transactions and development‑related matters rather than being limited to a narrow stream of work.

You can expect direct involvement in matters, increasing responsibility as your experience grows and the chance to develop strong client‑facing skills early in your career.

The firm also supports adaptable working and ongoing professional development, with a cooperative environment designed to support long‑term career progression.
