James Bennett, Australia’s leading library supplier, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented cataloguer who is ready to take the next step in developing their librarianship skills within the industry.

The role involves delivering high-quality bibliographic records for public, academic, and school libraries throughout Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Brookvale office on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The role involves:

- Creating original cataloguing and undertaking high-level bibliographic record upgrades for titles using the JB cataloguing systems.
- Applying working knowledge of MARC21, RDA, DDC, and Library of Congress Subject Headings.
- Working collaboratively within a team environment.





About You

You will be:

- Motivated, driven, and goal-focused.
- Energetic and positive, with a can-do attitude.
- Experienced, with 5+ years of regular cataloguing experience in a public, academic, or school library environment.

What We Offer

- Salary and benefits commensurate with experience will be offered to the successful applicant.
- Monday to Friday, with adaptable start and finish times between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
- A permanent, full-time position based at our Brookvale office.

A valid visa with full-time working rights in Australia is mandatory.
