About the role

As a Technical Officer - Scheduling, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and timely delivery of maintenance and operational work across our Water & Wastewater. Acting as the key link between Operations Centre, field crews, contractors and operational leaders, undertaking planning and scheduling of work as well as monitoring and management of workflow to support the delivery of essential services to our customers.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll use your planning expertise, problem‑solving skills and stakeholder management capabilities to ensure crews are effectively utilised, priorities are managed, and work is delivered in line with operational targets and business objectives

What you can expect with this role

As a key member of the team, you'll play an important role in coordinating daily operations and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate and organise workflow operations by acting as the main point of contact for field crews and supervisors ensuring protected and timely delivery of services
- Managing the timely dispatch of work orders to ensure service delivery targets and key performance indicators are achieved.
- Monitoring workforce availability and adjusting schedules and resources to meet changing operational demands.




- Responding to stakeholder enquiries and maintaining effective communication across operational teams
- Working on a rotating roster between other Schedulers - Covering 6am-5pm

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll have:

- Experience in scheduling and/or planning maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail with well-developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands.
- Solid organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with SAP, Maximo and Microsoft Office suite functions, with the ability to effectively manage, monitor and prioritise work activities.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with field-based and office-based teams.
