Trainer & Assessor – Construction Trades (Theory & Practical) – Immediate Start

Pacific College Sydney is seeking suitably qualified and industry-experienced Trainer & Assessors for an immediate start to deliver theoretical and practical training and assessment in one or more of the following nationally recognised qualifications: CPC31020 – Certificate III in Solid Plastering, CPC32620 – Certificate III in Roof Plumbing, MSF30422 – Certificate III in Glass and Glazing. We are looking for experienced tradespeople and VET professionals who have solid practical industry knowledge and are passionate about supporting students to develop job-ready skills.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver engaging theory, workshop and practical training sessions.
- Conduct competency-based assessment in accordance with the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
- Provide clear feedback and academic support to students.
- Monitor student attendance, progress and assessment completion.
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
- Ensure training and assessment practices comply with applicable RTO, ASQA, CRICOS and College requirements.
- Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.




- Maintain current vocational competency and industry currency.
- Ensure WHS requirements and safe work practices are followed during practical training.

About you

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an accepted equivalent that meets current regulatory requirements.

A relevant trade qualification and vocational competency for the qualification/unit(s) being delivered and assessed.

Relevant and current industry experience in Solid Plastering, Roof Plumbing and/or Glass and Glazing.

Demonstrated practical knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, materials and workplace practices.

Sound understanding of WHS requirements within the construction/trades environment.

Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Previous training and assessment experience within the Australian VET sector.

Experience delivering both theory and practical training.
