As a Diversional Therapist, you'll help create a vibrant and engaging environment where older people feel valued, connected and supported. From developing personalised lifestyle programs to partnering with residents, families and colleagues, you'll contribute to experiences that enhance wellbeing and bring meaning to everyday life.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Designing and delivering engaging recreational and social programs that support wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families and team members to create person-centred experiences and achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Monitoring, evaluating and adapting activities to meet changing needs, preferences and goals.
- Promoting participation, connection and inclusion while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, a related qualification, or progress towards completion.
- Experience designing, delivering and evaluating person-centred recreational or lifestyle programs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Excellent organisation, initiative and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safe, quality outcomes.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in aged care or rural healthcare settings and/or knowledge of aged care quality standards and funding frameworks.
Above all, you'll bring Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage, helping create meaningful moments that enhance the lives of others.
