Human Resources and Communications Branch
The Human Resources and Communications Branch supports the ACMA to meet its purpose by delivering services that enhance the ACMA’s capacity to make the best use of its people, build a positive workplace culture, and to effectively communicate to stakeholders about its purpose, activities, and achievements. Services delivered by the Branch include recruitment, work health and safety, learning and development, payroll, human resource strategic and policy advice, internal and external communications and media and editorial services
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive APS6 Human Resources Project Officer to play a hands-on role in delivering people and culture initiatives that make a real difference across the ACMA. You will help shape programs that build organisational capability, strengthen employee engagement, promote diversity and inclusion, and support a positive and connected workplace culture.
We are looking to fill an immediate non-ongoing vacancy for 12 months, with the possibility of becoming ongoing. We are also looking to build a merit pool as we anticipate several upcoming vacancies across the branch that may be either ongoing or non-ongoing.
The key duties of the position include:
- managing and continuously improving the ACMA’s rewards and recognition program
- coordinating learning and development activities, including procurement and engagement with learning providers
- supporting the planning,
delivery and evaluation of learning programs
- assisting with internal communications that keep employees informed and engaged
- coordinating other HR projects as required including preparing project plans, briefings, reports and communication materials
- supporting the coordination of diversity and inclusion initiatives that contribute to an inclusive workplace culture
- building productive relationships with internal stakeholders, external providers and procurement partners
- identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver practical business solutions
- leading a small team by setting priorities, coordinating workflows and supporting team members to achieve quality outcomes.
Eligibility
To be eligible for employment with ACMA, applicants must be Australian citizens.
The successful candidate will also be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.
Notes
Suitable candidates will be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and may be used to fill similar ongoing roles in other areas of ACMA. Non-ongoing opportunities may be offered as a specified term.
