In this role, you will provide mentoring and hands-on technical support to Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians, focusing on the maintenance, troubleshooting, optimisation, and commissioning of industrial automation and control systems across various client sites throughout Queensland.

In this role, you will provide mentoring and hands-on technical support to Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians, focusing on the maintenance, troubleshooting, optimisation, and commissioning of industrial automation and control systems across various client sites throughout Queensland.

You will be involved in field service activities, breakdown support, electrical installation works, control system upgrades, and the commissioning of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about automation technology and solving complex industrial control challenges.

Experience you need:

- PLC programming and troubleshooting, particularly Siemens platforms
- SCADA and HMI development, configuration, and fault finding




- Cert III or IV in Instrumentation and Control
- Hazardous Area installation and maintenance experience, including relevant qualifications
- Knowledge of AS4024 Machine Safety standards
- Solid industrial electrical experience within manufacturing, utilities, mining, or process industries
- Proven experience fault-finding and supporting PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems
- Industrial Ethernet networking experience, including communication protocols and network diagnostics
- Exposure to automation system commissioning, integration, and optimisation
- Ability to work on rosters and participate in after-hours call-outs when required

Key requirements:

- Queensland A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check and pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol testing
- Full Australian working rights
