The Opportunity:

Our client is an international Maritime and Defense Technology company with facilities across the globe. They deliver technology solutions across all marine sectors including Merchant, Offshore, Subsea, Navel and Defense.

We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Fitter or Service Engineer to work at our client's workshop based in Henderson; however, you will also work directly on the vessels at the Naval drydock also in Henderson.

Ideally you will have exposure to the Marine or Defense Industry primarily involved with repair, overhaul and maintenance of Naval Vessels. Install equipment including propellers & shaft lines, stabilisers & steering gear, propulsion systems and other mechanical maintenance.

You must be an Australia Citizen to be considered for this position given the nature of the work and the security clearance required to work onsite.

The Requirements:

- Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Engineer, Diesel Fitter, Marine Engineer
- Perform tasks both in office at the Naval Drydock and in the local workshop in Henderson
- Conduct fitting, repair, and maintenance work aboard naval vessels, focusing on propellers, shaftlines, stabilisers, and steering gear systems
- Excellent engineering and technical knowledge to support customers technical enquiries and interaction with our client's technical staff
- Effective organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately, self-manage the workload




- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the operations, you will be responsible for working on Navy Vessels and yards
- Ability to communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and with clients both face to face and remotely
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident for this position as there is Navel Defense work involved
- Willing to travel overseas for training on new products and designs, this could involve travel to Europe and APAC

What's on Offer

- Base Salary $100k - $110k + Super (13.5%) + OT (OTE up to $145k per annum)
- Perth based role working at the Henderson Drydock and Henderson workshop
- Only 35hrs per week, anything else is classed and paid as OT rates
- A paid RDO day per month (12 extra days off), this is over and above your standard AL & PL entitlements
- Top training and development opportunities with a global organisation
- Contract dependent, lunch breaks of 1hr can be paid, and this would be classed as O/T
- Travel allowances paid for remote and international travel
- National & International travel for training courses is provided, this could involve trips to Europe and APAC
