Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Location: Sydney.

Salary: AUD - Annual Gross.

Key Skills Required

- Strong hands‑on experience with Java 8+/11+/17 , Spring Boot, and Microservices
- Expertise in developing and consuming REST APIs
- Solid understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) , SOLID principles , Design Patterns , and Clean Coding practices
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle , MySQL , or PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with Git , Maven/Gradle , and version control best practices
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins , GitHub Actions , or Azure DevOps
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate , unit testing, and code quality tools
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Key Responsibilities

- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and microservices
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations
- Participate in architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and support production deployments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting

- Spring Cloud, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience
