About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Casual Chef to join our kitchen team at Bridge Road Brewers in Brunswick East. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a vibrant, fast-paced hospitality environment, delivering creative food that complements our beers and enhances the overall guest experience.

Previous experience working at a Level 3 Chef standard is essential. You’ll bring the practical skills, confidence and service experience needed to perform consistently in a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items to consistently high standards, following recipes, kitchen procedures and presentation requirements.

Maintain a clean,



organised and food-safe kitchen, including correct handling, storage and hygiene practices.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver efficient, timely service, particularly during busy periods.

Monitor stock and ingredient quality, communicate supply needs, and contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal offerings.

What we’re looking for

- Minimum 3 years’ relevant industry experience, including demonstrated experience working at a Level 3 Chef standard in a professional kitchen.
- Solid culinary skills with sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene, and the ability to produce dishes consistently to a high standard.
- A collaborative, reliable and organised approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively during busy services.
- Flexibility to work across a casual roster, including weekends and varying shift patterns.
- A genuine interest in quality food, local ingredients and craft food and beverage experiences.
- Experience in a brewery, taproom or similar casual hospitality environment is highly regarded.
