Stanbroke Foods, a division of Stanbroke, is a respected family-owned and operated Australian cattle and beef business. Our operations span across Northern Queensland, with extensive cattle properties, backgrounding operations in Southern Queensland, a state-of-the-art cattle feedlot, fully accredited beef processing facility, and global marketing capabilities. We offer a full range of Grain and Grass-fed beef categories and export to over 40 countries globally.
We've opened a brand-new site in Hemmant and we're looking for a hands-on QA Officer to keep our Food Safety Program, HACCP and GMP running smoothly every day. You'll spend most of your time on the production floor and in dispatch, checking that things are done right, catching issues early and working with the team to fix them. You'll report to our QA Manager, who will support you and help you build your skills.
What you'll be doing
- Running GMP checks and pre-op hygiene inspections across production, warehouse and dispatch
- Verifying CCP records, labelling, traceability and allergen controls, and doing scheduled swabbing and sampling
- Raising non-conformances and following them through with the team until they're closed
- Keeping QA records and the NCR and complaints registers accurate and up to date
- Supporting audits, mock recalls, complaint investigations and GMP training for the production team
What you'll bring
- QA or food safety experience in food manufacturing, ideally meat processing
- Solid working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements
- Experience doing floor inspections and QA verification
- The confidence to raise issues directly with the team and follow them through
- Comfort working in a cold workplace, and availability for early starts
- Be part of a proud, family-owned Australian beef business
- Get real ownership of QA on the floor, with support from an experienced QA Manager
- Exclusive team discounts on our meat products
- A workplace that values proper standards, not shortcuts
