About the role
We're looking for a highly organised and detail-focused People Services Officer to join our People and Culture team in Sydney.
In this varied role, you'll provide administrative support across a range of employee lifecycle processes, including employee changes, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding. You'll maintain accurate employee records, prepare employment documentation and help ensure our People Services processes run smoothly and consistently.
Key responsibilities
- Provide timely administrative support across employee movements, promotions, leave, remuneration, benefits, contract variations and offboarding
- Maintain accurate employee records, position descriptions, registers and documentation
- Prepare routine employment correspondence and process employee changes in line with relevant approvals
- Support recruitment administration, including candidate records, interview coordination, screening and background checks
- Prepare letters of offer, employment contracts and onboarding documentation
- Coordinate onboarding activities with relevant stakeholders
- Maintain employee information across HR systems, databases and spreadsheets
- Assist with reports, presentations, data summaries and general business requests
- Monitor shared People and Culture inboxes and respond to or redirect enquiries
- Process invoices and expenditure through internal finance systems
- Document procedures and contribute to improvements across systems, processes and service delivery
About you
You'll bring strong administrative capability, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to providing responsive internal customer service. You'll be comfortable handling confidential information, balancing competing priorities and working with a range of stakeholders.
You'll also have:
- Experience in administration, People Services, HR operations or a similar business support role
- Experience maintaining information systems, databases and spreadsheets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills
- A high level of discretion when managing sensitive information
- Solid customer service and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
- A self-driven, curious and continuous-improvement mindset
- Experience using HR information systems, which would be highly regarded
