Here’s what you’ll be up to...

- Operate Council vehicles, minor plant, tools and equipment safely across Public Spaces Maintenance service areas.
- Support public space maintenance through general labouring duties, waste disposal and traffic control where required.
- Use Council mobility applications, devices and future technology enhancements to support accurate work records and efficient service delivery.
- Make a practical impact every day by helping keep Penrith’s public spaces safe, clean, accessible and well maintained for the community.

- Commencing salary: $63,504.00 - $73,509.00 + 12% superannuation

What are we looking for?

- We’re looking for someone who takes safety seriously, shows good judgment on site and brings a practical, reliable approach to every task.
- You’ll be someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, is confident working with plant, tools and equipment, and is willing to pitch in wherever the team needs support.
- You’ll communicate clearly,



work well as part of a crew and take pride in delivering quality outcomes for the community.
- Experience in public space maintenance, local government, cleaning operations, horticulture or traffic control would be highly regarded, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as key.

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.
