About the position
Council’s Operations Department is looking for two Turf Maintenance Officers who will be responsible for the maintenance of Centenary Park Golf Course.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Turf maintenance and renewal work;
- Horticulture maintenance, minor infrastructure, and equipment repairs; and
- Support the Turf and Golf Maintenance team to develop and implement turf management works program.
This is a permanent full-time role, working 38 hours per week. Weekend overtime is required on a rostered basis, as well as intermittent weekday overtime around important events and course work.
About you
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Certificate III or similar qualification in Horticulture or Turf Management related discipline;
- Strong level of knowledge of turf management and golf courses;
- Knowledge and experience in application of fertiliser, herbicide, fungicide and insecticide to maintain turf areas in healthy condition;
- Ability to use a variety of horticulture and turf management tools, plant and mechanical equipment; and
- A strong understanding of safe work practices.

This position is aBand 3Acurrently remunerated at$69,665.28 per annum, plus superannuation.
