About the role

I'm Colin Evans, Director of TAFS. I'm writing this ad myself because I'm the person who will be training you.

I'm looking for one junior broker to take on personally, sit next to and teach the job properly. This isn't a graduate program, and you won't spend six weeks shadowing before you're allowed to touch anything. You'll be on the phone with real customers in your first week, and I'll be right there with you.

You'll learn how to take a customer from the first phone call to a settled deal:

- Talking to business owners about what they're buying and why
- Working out what a lender will and won't accept before we go anywhere near an application
- Putting the file together properly so credit doesn't come back with questions
- Following it through to settlement and staying in touch afterwards
- Everything in between

What training with me looks like

You sit beside me. You listen to my calls and I listen to yours. We go through deals together, including the ones that don't work,



because those teach you the most.

Who I want to hear from

You have at least one year of sales experience, and it can be any type of sales. Retail, hospitality, real estate, telco, door-to-door, call centre, car yards, recruitment, banking: if you've sold something to someone, I want to hear from you. You don't need a finance background, because I'll teach you that. What matters is that you know what a call with a stranger feels like and a target doesn't scare you. You also:

- Show up and are reliable
- Can hold a conversation with a truck driver and a CFO on the same day
- Are organised enough to keep 30 deals moving without dropping any
- Want to be good at this, not just employed
- Are motivated to learn and grow in a fast-moving sales environment

Good to know

This role is fully office based in Alexandria, with no working from home.
