About the role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll design and deliver machine learning, generative AI and agentic AI solutions, working closely with data, technology and business teams to take ideas from prototype through to production. Help turn emerging AI capabilities into practical solutions for complex business challenges.

Key responsibilities

- Build, test and deploy machine learning and AI pipelines that address business needs.
- Design and productionise agentic AI solutions on Azure, with a focus on scalability, reliability and performance.
- Develop Copilot agents for Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio.
- Apply AI services and tools to prepare and analyse large datasets.
- Select suitable algorithms, large language models and tools for each use case.
- Partner with data teams to source and prepare data for AI solutions, ensuring data quality and appropriate privacy protections.
- Plan and deliver AI innovation initiatives, defining how outcomes will be measured.
- Evaluate, validate and optimise models against agreed performance measures.
- Work with IT and cross-functional teams to move AI solutions into production.
- Share findings and recommendations with stakeholders through clear presentations and visualisations.

About you





- A degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics or a related field.
- At least five years' experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning and AI.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience using libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit-learn.
- Experience with Azure AI and application services, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, AI Foundry, MLOps, Azure Functions and containers.
- Experience building production applications using large language models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
- Transparent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning in AI and data science.

Desirable

- A PhD or Master’s degree in Machine Learning.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate certification.
- Other cloud platform AI or machine learning certifications.
