Are you a caring, engaging, innovative and dedicated SchoolLeader, ready to take your career further? We are seeking anexceptional leader of pastoral care to be our next Director ofStudents. Be a part of a school consistently recognised forexcellence in student behaviour and wellbeing, with outstandingATAR results and a range of VET and Certificate courses. A placewhere every learning experience builds wisdom, courage andcharacter for the world that awaits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop future focused, cutting-edge pastoral care curriculumto be used across the School.
- Plan and implement the Secondary School student behaviourmanagement and wellbeing program, overseeing studentpresentation, rewards and sanctions, in consultation with theHeads of House and Wellbeing team.
- In consultation with the Head of Secondary and Principal &CEO;, plan and run Assembly programs, major events and theHouse/Assembly Time schedule.
- Oversee the Secondary weekly duty roster and daily reliefschedule, liaising with the Student Services OfficerReliefs.
- Be a teaching staff advisor to the Student Executive andYear 11 Leadership Team, attending meetings, overseeing StudentExecutive election voting and activities.
- Hold a part-time teaching load, in a relevant subject area.Prepare and implement effective assessments to track and reporton student progress and differentiate lessons to meet thediverse needs of our students, ensuring all learners aresupported and challenged.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians andcolleagues regarding student academic and wellbeingprogress.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of student’sactivities and associated logistics and daily notices.
- Team Leadership of wellbeing team.
- Current registration with the WA Teachers RegistrationBoard.
- Valid Working with Children card, or willingness toobtain.
- Knowledge and experience of the WA Curriculum.
- Willingness to contribute to wider school programs,including co-curricular, camps or other school-basedactivities.
- Understand of best-practice positive Behaviour ManagementEducation Systems and processes
Relevant qualification and experiences will be accepted.
Salary
Based on relevant qualification andyears of relevant experience.
